I haven't done a complete Mozy restore, but I have restored individual files and it worked fine. It took a few hours for the files to be available, but I'm just glad I was able to download the backed up versions.
Has anyone actually RESTORED a mozy backup?
I was a customer of Mozy. When my computer crashed I downloaded all the files that were stored on their server. All the files were altered and not sent to me in their original format. When I called their customer support I was continually given the runaround and promised that a DVD with the files in their original format would be sent to me. Nothing ever happened. I left a message with their home office and nobody ever got back with me from their either. They completely ignored all my phone calls and emails. I would definitely stay away from this company. Your information is not safe with them.

I installed about a week ago and love the service so far. I set it up to backup my files every night. hope i never need the backup service but it's nice to have everything saved.
i got a free mozy account a week ago and i like it a lot. it backs up all my folders every evening. it's nice knowing all my files are protected from...whatever.
